Dead Mellotron is a one-man lo-fi reverb’d pop band from Louisiana created by a dude simply known as “Frazier.” Dead Mellotron is shoegazy, My Bloody Valentine-inspired, pop, a personal and creative deviation from his main band, Jealous Wives. Maybe you’ve heard of Dead Mellotron already? Apparently he thought it would be a good idea to friend every god damn person on MySpace. I can’t say that was a bad tactic, though… it got me listening. I’ve read several people describe Dead Mello. as a good lullaby before bed, and there is certainly something soothing about the melodies, but I think that his music is more ‘wake up on a Saturday at 6AM to watch the sunrise naked’ kind of music.

Dead Mellotron will be playing several shows in Texas next month, so you should go check that out if you’re in the area.
