The Vans Warped Tour will be stopping right outside of Portland, Ore., in Hillsboro on August 16th, 2009. The event is being held at the Washington County Fairplex (the fairgrounds). As of tonight, tickets are still available for $30.50. While I’m not particularly fond of all of the bands playing, the all-day show should still be a fucking party in the sun. Some highlights include Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, Flogging Molly, LIGHTS, NOFX, Saosin, Senses Fail, Thrice, and Underoath. Check out the full set here. Get your tickets here.

Go See The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
Wednesday, July 8th, 2009After playing for the Pitchfork Music Festival in several weeks, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart will head West for a trip up the Pacific coast. They will be stopping in Portland, Ore, for an all ages (awesome) show on the 23rd at 8PM @ Backspace. If you are in the area, go. If you haven’t been to a Backspace show before, the venue is a fold-out coffee shop in the heart of China Town. A small, awkward venue that puts the crowd no more than half a foot from the performers’ instruments. Tickets are cheap, too.
